Work Schedule: On-site, Monday through Friday, generally 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Marshall & Stevens is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Associate to join our team in Oklahoma. This position is ideal for a recent accounting graduate or an early-career professional with approximately one to two years of relevant experience who is interested in expanding their accounting background beyond traditional audit or tax work.
The Associate will support senior team members on forensic accounting, financial analysis, bankruptcy-related, and other client engagements. The role will involve reviewing financial records and supporting documentation, analyzing and summarizing financial information, preparing spreadsheets, and assisting with report preparation.
Primary Responsibilities- Review financial, accounting, and supporting documentation.
- Analyze and summarize financial information for use in reports and client deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain detailed spreadsheets and financial schedules.
- Review QuickBooks files and summarize relevant transactions.
- Extract information from source documents and organize data into clear, usable formats.
- Assist with forensic accounting and other accounting-related analyses.
- Support bankruptcy-related and financial investigation engagements, as applicable.
- Conduct research and gather supporting information for client projects.
- Assist senior team members with analysis, report preparation, and other project deliverables.
- Maintain accurate and organized workpapers and supporting documentation.
- Work under the direction of senior professionals while developing technical accounting and analytical skills.
- Collaborate with team members to complete assignments accurately and within established deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.

- Approximately 1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, financial analysis, or related experience preferred, but not required.
- CPA, CPA-track, or interest in pursuing a CPA or other relevant professional credential is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
- Prior exposure to bankruptcy, forensic accounting, bookkeeping, financial analysis, or similar work is beneficial, but not required.
- Interest in applying an accounting background outside of traditional audit or tax work.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- General proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to review detailed financial information and identify relevant data.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to organize and summarize large amounts of financial information.
