About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, licensed Medical Assistant (MA) / Front Office Coordinator to join a busy, patient-centered medical practice in Lucedale, Mississippi. This hybrid role is ideal for a highly capable, tech-savvy professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment while also delivering an exceptional front office experience.

In this role, you will work closely with the provider and broader team to support both clinical operations and front office workflow, ensuring a seamless, high-quality patient experience from check-in to check-out.

This is a hands-on, onsite role that requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and emotional intelligence. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, team-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities.

This is not an entry-level role and is hiring ASAP.

What You’ll Do
- Perform hands-on clinical duties including EKGs, blood draws, vital signs, and other practical MA responsibilities independently

- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during visits and procedures

- Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record

- Deliver a high-quality patient experience through professionalism, empathy, and clear communication

- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies according to practice standards

- Use EHR systems efficiently and adapt quickly to new workflows, tools, and technology

- Anticipate provider needs and support smooth, efficient clinic flow

- Communicate effectively with both clinical and administrative team members to ensure continuity of care

- Demonstrate a strong team-oriented mindset, stepping in where needed to support patients and colleagues

-Contribute positively to a collaborative, respectful, and patient-focused practice culture

- Greet and check in patients, creating a welcoming and professional first impression

- Manage scheduling, appointment confirmations, and incoming phone calls

- Verify insurance, collect copays, and assist with basic billing coordination

- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation

- Coordinate patient check-out, follow-ups, and referrals

What We’re Looking For
- Certified or Licensed Medical Assistant (required)

- Previous MA experience required — this is not an entry-level role

- Proven ability to independently perform EKGs, blood draws, and other clinical MA duties

- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and organizational skills

- High level of emotional intelligence, professionalism, and intellectual curiosity

- Excellent communication skills with patients, providers, and staff

- Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new systems quickly

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining empathy and accuracy

Why Join
- Immediate start in a well-established, busy medical practice

- Opportunity to work closely with providers and make a meaningful impact on patient care

- Supportive, team-oriented environment that values intelligence, empathy, and initiative
