Job description

ABOUT LIVIC CIVIL

Imagine starting your career at a firm where you’re not just a number but an essential part of a close-knit team with big aspirations. At LIVIC Civil, we’re passionate about building better communities through civil engineering, infrastructure design, traffic systems, GIS, and more. With some of our most exciting infrastructure projects ahead, we’re looking for a talented, eager-to-learn entry-level Civil Designer who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and make an immediate impact.

This role isn’t for everyone.
If you:

  • Wait to be told what to do,
  • Shy away from challenges,
  • Dislike collaborating with others, or
  • Struggle with feedback or deadlines

then this might not be the best fit. But if you thrive on learning, are hungry for growth, and want to build meaningful systems that serve entire communities, you may be exactly who we’re looking for.

WHO WE ARE

LIVIC Civil is Not Your Ordinary Civil Engineering Firm. Since our founding in 2017, we’ve partnered with clients who share our values of integrity, hard work, and responsiveness, delivering projects that go beyond expectations. As a small, agile firm, we’re committed to evolving quickly, achieving exceptional results that set us apart.

PATHWAY FOR GROWTH

This role is more than a starting point,it’s a launchpad. At LIVIC, we believe in growing our people alongside our projects. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to evolve into a technical lead, guiding design strategy and mentoring future team members. You’ll also be able to step into project leadership, managing initiatives from concept through construction.

As you grow, you could be the one helping local officials and public institutions envision and execute new community enhancements, like safer streets, greener infrastructure, and more connected neighborhoods. You might become an expert in modernizing the infrastructure backbone of our towns, upgrading stormwater systems, utility layouts, or transportation networks that impact thousands of lives.

At LIVIC, you’re not waiting years for the chance to make an impact. With the right initiative, that opportunity is right around the corner.

JOB SUMMARY

As an Entry-Level Civil Engineer / Designer at LIVIC, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers to design infrastructure solutions that make a lasting impact. You’ll contribute to the planning and design of roadways, stormwater systems, utility networks, and site development projects across Pennsylvania and beyond. This is a great launchpad for recent grads or junior designers ready to learn, grow, and get their hands dirty with real engineering work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft construction plans and civil site layouts using Civil 3D and AutoCAD
  • Assist in roadway, utility, and stormwater design tasks
  • Contribute to grading plans, drainage layouts, and infrastructure modeling
  • Collaborate with engineers to prepare estimates, calculations, and permits
  • Review and revise plans based on redlines, agency feedback, and field data
  • Participate in project meetings, learn regulatory codes, and support plan submissions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field

      • Work in a team environment as well as independently
      • Establish and maintain effective work relationships, interact effectively with others
      • Adapt to changing work priorities, understand and follow direction
      • Overcome internal and external procedural challenges by offering solutions that will lead to overall operational satisfaction.
    • Strong PC Skills i.e. Word, Excel, MS Outlook, Virtual Conferencing
    • High standards of confidentiality to handle sensitive information
    • Excellent Written and Oral Skills
  • Preferred:
