Industrial Services Technician
Division: Industrial Services
Reports To: Field Supervisor / Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Travel: Regional travel may be required; overnight travel as needed
Schedule: Variable shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime as required by job site demands
Position Summary
The Industrial Services Technician supports field operations by performing industrial cleaning, maintenance, and environmental services at customer job sites. This role works hands-on with equipment, tools, and crews to safely and efficiently execute projects while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
This is a physically demanding, safety-sensitive field role that requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under variable site conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform industrial services work including, but not limited to:
    • Industrial cleaning
    • Tank cleaning
    • Confined space entry support
    • Vacuum truck and related equipment support
    • Waste handling and material removal
  • Assist with setup, operation, and teardown of job sites
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, hoses, pumps, and related industrial equipment
  • Load, unload, and secure equipment, materials, and waste containers
  • Follow all safety protocols, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and site-specific requirements
  • Wear required PPE at all times and enforce safety standards within the crew
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and site contacts
  • Complete required documentation such as job tickets, safety forms, and time records
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites, vehicles, and equipment
  • Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or incidents immediately
  • Support other divisions or service lines as operational needs require
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work in industrial environments including:
    • Confined spaces
    • Elevated areas
    • Hot, cold, wet, or dirty conditions
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs with or without assistance
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work extended hours
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Strong attendance and reliability record
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required for entry-level roles)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in industrial services, environmental services, or construction
  • Confined Space Entry certification
  • HAZWOPER (40-hour or 8-hour refresher)
  • TWIC card
  • CDL (Class A or B)
  • Experience working at refineries, plants, or heavy industrial sites
Safety & Compliance Expectations
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
  • Participate in safety meetings, training, and certifications as required
  • Maintain a safety-first mindset on all job sites
