COMPENSATION:$19.00 per hour USD and eligible for discretionary sales bonus plan

OUR STORY

The Chicago Cubs Franchise, a charter member of Major League Baseball's National League since 1876, has won the National League pennant 17 times and was the first team to win back-to-back World Series titles in the 1907 and 1908 seasons. In 2016, the Chicago Cubs made history again when the team won its first World Series in 108 years, ending the longest championship drought in North American sports. Known for its ivy-covered outfield walls, hand-operated scoreboard and famous Marquee, iconic Wrigley Field has been the home of the Chicago Cubs since 1916 and is the second oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball. HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:

The Chicago Cubs organizationislooking for motivatedand career driven individuals tosellticketsand put on a best-in-class fan experience through event executiontogames atSloanPark, the Cubs spring training facility,in Mesa, Arizona.TheTicketing and Event OperationsAssociateis an entry level fulltime,seasonal position(August-April).The position focuses primarily on ticket sales but does have some event operations responsibilities.The ticketingportionwillfocus on sellingand servicingseason, group, and individualticket buyers.The event operationportionwillfocus on gameday setup, sponsorship activation, andguestservices.Thisseasonal position isa great opportunityto build your salesand operationscareer within thesportsindustry.No relocation expenses will be provided.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Research,prospectandestablishleadsvia direct phone contact, networking,andevents.

  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals.These goals include team goalsrelated to the successful saleofthe party deck and overallsalesforthe Spring Traininggames.

  • Provide superior customer service and responsive follow-up to clients, existing ticket holders,prospects,and single game customersbefore, after and during the game.

  • Build relationships with clients and keepaccuraterecords in Salesforce.

  • AttendallSpring Traininghome gamesandassistwith game day responsibilitiesto support our event operation.This can includemanaginglogisticsof the party deck, rooftop, and other group outings, as well as set-up and tear down.

  • Plan and executeannualSeason Ticket Holder Event.

  • Workother events at Sloan Park during theprogram.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Effective communication skills,customer service skills,both written and oral.

  • Highly motivated with a desire to meet and exceed stipulated goals.

  • Must be available to workAugustthroughendof March.

  • Ability to work non-standard work hours withvariableschedule,to includenights,weekends, and holidays.
