Job type: Full time

$25.00 per hour - Maintenance background required

Potential for quarterly bonuses 

4:00am start time, must be able to work weekends

The Baggage System Support Technician maintains the cleanliness and functionality of automated baggage handling systems, ensuring safe, efficient operation while assisting with equipment jams and learning under the guidance of maintenance and control room staff.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A BAGGAGE SYSTEM SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

  • Clear and reset baggage system jams and faults to minimize downtime and disruption
  • Remove, sort, and transport luggage using baggage utility carts to designated locations
  • Monitor and communicate baggage system faults to appropriate personnel
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, OSHA)
  • Manually encode and scan baggage tags at designated stations as needed
  • Learn to inspect and understand BHS equipment performance under supervision
  • Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Aviation Industry experience a plus
  • High attention to detail
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Must possess the versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities
  • Must be able to report to work on a regular, consistent, and timely basis; must be prompt and maintain good attendance
  • Must possess the ability to be a self-starter, work independently and as a member of various teams
  • Pass a background check and drug screen 
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
  • Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
