Job description

Entry-Level Electrical Modification Technician - P-8

Company:

Boeing Aerospace Operations

Boeing Global Servies (BGS) is looking for Entry Level Electrical Modification Technicians to join our P-8 team in Jacksonville, FL.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
  • Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components
  • Fabricate and modify aerospace products according to specifications
  • Assist with and perform tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations)
  • Work under general supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with electrical/electronic theories and avionics systems, shop mathematics and practices
  • Experience in working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience with component and wire installation to include repairing, modifying, testing and troubleshooting new, experimental, and disturbed systems
  • Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and overtime

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with avionics and aircraft systems
  • FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant
  • Active US Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher
