Job description

Security Training Instructor

Rocky Mountain Protective Service Inc. is hiring an experienced Security Training Instructor to support professional security screening operations and employee training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver required security training to new and existing employees.

  • Conduct classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training.

  • Support initial, recurrent, remedial, and refresher training.

  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.

  • Track employee training completion and certification status.

  • Evaluate employee performance during training.

  • Provide coaching and corrective instruction when needed.

  • Assist with development and scheduling of training activities.

  • Coordinate with supervisors and management on training needs.

  • Support operational readiness and employee qualification requirements.

  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable security procedures and training requirements.

  • Perform security screening duties when operationally required.

  • Support training for both passenger and baggage screening functions.

  • Assist with instructor development and additional training programs as assigned.

  • Maintain all required certifications and credentials.

  • Work a flexible schedule based on operational and training needs.

Requirements

  • Previous security screening, aviation security, training, military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred.

  • Previous instructor, trainer, or employee-development experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

  • Ability to explain procedures clearly and provide effective coaching.

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

  • Ability to evaluate employee performance objectively.

  • Must successfully complete required background screening and credentialing.

  • Must successfully complete all required training and certifications.

  • Must be dependable, professional, and able to work effectively with employees and management.

  • Must be available for a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when required.
