Overview

B3H is seeking an Aircrew Training Specialist to support AMC flying squadrons by managing training records, readiness tracking, training schedules, class and exam coordination, and recurring squadron training reporting. This role supports non-flying squadron functions that are essential to aircrew readiness, qualification progression, and mission continuity.

B3H provides the full spectrum of strategic planning, program management, acquisitions management, systems engineering & integration, cost analysis, training, systems requirements analysis, and instructional system design for the DoD. Responsibilities
  • Update data in Graduate Training Integration Management System (GTIMS) or future equivalent systems to GTIMS, andย locally developedย computer database systems asย required.
  • Interface with Host Aviation Resource Management (HARM) and Squadron Aviation Resource Management (SARM) personnel to update the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) or future equivalent systems to ARMS asย required.
  • Build, review, and update student/permanent party records,ย foldersย and grade books per the applicable Air Force Instructions (AFMANย 11-202V1 and AFMANย 11-2MDSV1), associated MAJCOM Installation supplements, andย locally developedย guidance.ย ย Number of records will vary depending on unit manning/student throughput.
  • Coordinate schedule of classes and exams asย required. Coordinate with scheduling and external agencies (SFS/CATM, CES/Emergency Management, OSS, etc.) to ensure crewmembers are scheduled for Crew Resource Management, Instructor Crew Resource Management, Instrument Refresher Course, and any other grounding or pre-deployment training requirements.ย ย Number of classes/exams will vary depending on unit manning/student throughput.
  • Perform individual gradebook checks of squadron personnel training and ancillary training requirements. Gradebook checks are performed daily, monthly, and quarterly.
  • In coordination with the Squadron DOT Flight Chief, coordinate with scheduling office, enabling them to maximize training opportunities IAW unit leadership guidance. Scheduling and training will be consistent with AFIs.
  • Provide daily tracking of upgrade and continuation training accomplishment for the unit Operations Supervisor (or equivalent) as well as weekly summaries for the Operations Officer.
  • Under the guidance and direction of the Squadron DOT Flight Chief,ย assistย in the development of new curriculum and syllabi for aircrew and ground training.
  • Generate the following reports/forms asย required:
    • Monthly and quarterly inputs to OST Training each quarter
    • AF Form 2096, Classification/On-the-Job Training Action
    • Monthly and semi-annualย Non-Mission Ready (NMR)ย letter for members to be placed in NMR status IAWย AFMANย 11-2MDS-V1
    • Monthly Squadron Training Review Panel (STRP) briefings the Squadron leadership to include training recommendations and status of training on unitย members.
    • 6 Month Training Plan Briefย (A003).ย Prepare the 6 Month Training Plan IAW AFMANย 11-202V1 and applicable AFMANย 11-2MDS-V1, associated MAJCOM supplements, and local policy and procedures.
    • Monthlyย Aircrew Probation / Regression Reportย (A004).ย Prepare the 6 Month Training Plan IAW AFMANย 11-202V1 and applicable AFMANย 11-2MDS-V1, associated MAJCOM supplements, and local policy and procedures.
    • Semi-annual Proration Consideration Reportย (A005), as designated.ย Prepare the 6 Month Training Plan IAW AFMANย 11-202V1 and applicable AFMANย 11-2MDS-V1, associated MAJCOM supplements, and local policy and procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree preferred in aviation operations, aviation management, training, education, business, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a flying squadron, training office, HARM/SARM, aviation resource management, or comparable aviation operations support environment
  • Experience using GTIMS, ARMS, or equivalent training/readiness systems
  • Experience maintaining gradebooks, records, training status, or readiness reporting
  • Ability to manage recurring reports and suspense-driven requirements
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with squadron leadership, scheduling, and external agencies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database-driven reporting tool
