Are you passionate about engineering and eager to improve your skills? Join our team as an Engineer-in-Training/Engineering Intern (EIT/EI). You will support the planning, design, and construction of airfield and landside infrastructure projects within Parkhillโ€™s Aviation Sector. This role contributes to the development of critical airport facilitiesโ€”including runways, taxiways, aprons, drainage systems, and support infrastructureโ€”serving commercial and general aviation clients.

Working alongside experienced aviation engineers and project managers, you will help deliver safe, compliant, and innovative solutions while gaining hands-on experience across the full project lifecycleโ€”from initial planning through design and construction. This position offers a clear path toward professional licensure and long-term career growth within Parkhill. This is a full-time position, paid bi-weekly on a salary basis.

  • Support the design and development of aviation civil engineering projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, grading, drainage systems, access roads, hangars, fuel systems, and other airport infrastructure
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates
  • Utilize design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering tools to develop project deliverables
  • Participate in project coordination with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies, including FAA coordination as applicable
  • Contribute to construction phase services, including site visits, observation, and review of contractor submittals
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, timely, and compliant design solutions
  • Apply applicable design standards and best practices; training in FAA standards and airfield design will be provided as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

  • EIT/EI certification required

  • 2 years of experience in civil engineering

  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Aviation experience preferred but not required

  • Familiarity with FAA standards and advisory circulars is a plus

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
