Aviation Civil Engineer

Job Description

Passero Associatesis seeking a talented Aviation Civil Engineer to join our team and report to our Sandy Springs, GA office. In this role, you will support the development of airfield project plans, including grading, drainage and erosion control design, pavement design, utilities, stormwater management, quantity takeoffs, technical specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates for airport projects throughout Georgia and the Southeast.

The selected candidate will contribute to all phases of project delivery, from concept development through construction closeout, including client interaction, while leveraging the latest technologies and software advancements.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare conceptual designs, preliminary and detailed cost estimates, and permitting documents
  • Develop design documents, construction plans, technical specifications, engineering reports, and plant production packages
  • Perform engineering design tasks under the direction of senior engineers
  • Perform construction administration services, in the office and in the field

Qualifications/Experience:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or a Civil-related field
  • Minimum 4 years of civil engineering experience required; Aviation design preferred
  • Course work in civil/infrastructure design, transportation engineering, water resources, pavement engineering, construction management, and related topics
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
  • Ability to report to our Sandy Springs office
  • Ability to obtain Airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge required, including Federal Background Check (with clear record)
