Job Details:
Job Title: Histo Technician
Location: Watertown, New York, 13601
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: Days (5x8) Start times: 5:30 AM or 6:00 AM (40 hours/week)
Start Date: 05/18/2026 08/19/2026

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of Histo Technician experience
Bachelors degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or Chemistry OR HTL certification from a recognized agency
Histo technician AAS NY State License required

Key Responsibilities:
Perform processing, embedding, cutting, and staining of surgical and autopsy tissue specimens
Prepare and stain cytopathology specimens following established procedures
Ensure accurate handling and management of patient tissue samples
Prepare high-quality microscopic sections for pathologist diagnosis
Maintain proper documentation, supplies, and laboratory equipment
Perform specialized diagnostic techniques as required
Participate in Quality Assurance programs to ensure compliance and excellence
