Job description

At International Auto Processing, LLC the Accessory Installer will drive vehicles from the staging area into the Production Shop, perform accessory installations and clean each work area at the end of each shift
Essential Duties:
  • Observe all safety precautions driving vehicles from the staging area into the Production Shop work area.
  • Prepare vehicles for installation by pulling proper accessory stickers and applying them to the work sheet.
  • Obtain and sign appropriate materials from the Parts Department.
  • Prepare accessory kits for installation.
  • Install accessories according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Notify Quality Control Inspector when the installation is complete.
  • Correct any deficiencies noted by Quality Control Inspector before the vehicles is returned to staging area.
  • Return vehicles to staging area.
  • Complete repair orders and submit to the Production Shop office for any work which is not a routine part of the installation, or which may be considered a warranty claim.
  • Twice daily, submit work sheets indicating completed production to the Production Shop office.
  • Assist team members to assure quality is maintained during installations.
  • Perform installations outdoors, when needed.
  • Ensure a spotter is present when backing up vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • SHIFT: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm. Possible overtime and weekend work as directed by business need

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED OR 1+ year of continuous work experience with no more than 2 employers
  • 6+ months of automotive technical training or mechanical experience
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
  • Experience operating automatic and straight (manual) shift vehicles

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must have own tools and willingness to maintain the tools necessary to complete daily tasks
  • Installation experience in a port processing environment

Physical Working Conditions:
  • Work in tight spaces and congested quarters.
  • Lift, push, and or pull up to 40lbs.
  • Extended periods of standing, kneeling and bending.
  • Maneuver a 30 lb. compressor into tight quarters and secure in proper position.
  • Stand on a worktable approximately four (4) feet high.
  • Work in varying climates as well as be exposed to outdoor elements such as heat, cold, rain, and other conditions
