Job description

Title: Engineer I
Reports to: Product Team Member
Supervises: Designer / Drafter
Primary Responsibilities:
The major responsibilities are summarized below:
โ€ข Design and specification of Subsea E&P equipment within the designated product area
โ€ข Develop knowledge of ABCO equipment design philosophy and technologies
โ€ข Provide quality checks and verification of peer and subordinate work functions
โ€ข Provide testing requirements, troubleshooting reports, and other documentation.
Work Activities:
To undertake the above responsibilities, the Engineer I shall:
โ€ข Write design Scope of Work of equipment for Client Approval
โ€ข Plan work scope activities and enter data to management control software
โ€ข Generate design qualification documents including design reports, test procedures, and test reports.
โ€ข Develop expertise in specific engineering skill sets nominated by management
โ€ข Encourage peers to actively pursue new technology areas to the benefit of the Company
โ€ข Participate in professional societies and organizations
โ€ข Work as a team member of the assigned product group
โ€ข Initiate and maintain an active level of personal and professional growth
โ€ข This position requires some commercial activities
Requirements
Qualifications:
โ€ข B.Sc Degree in Engineering
โ€ข Work experience in mechanical design in the offshore oil industry
โ€ข Familiarity with 3D CAD (AUTODESK Inventor Preferred)
โ€ข EIT designation preferred
Competency Requirements:
โ€ข Have obtained a undergraduate degree in a field of Engineering from an accredited university
โ€ข Have 2 years of work experience in the field of mechanical design and manufacturing
โ€ข Can demonstrate practical problem-solving skills
โ€ข Can demonstrate proficiency in 3D design
โ€ข Can demonstrate a proficiency in the manufacturing process
