What will you do?

The AGV technicians develop and demonstrate skills in the automated distribution operational processes, including operating equipment, troubleshooting, stop management, system maintenance, training, qualification, performing progressive maintenance, controlling processes from a computer, and maintaining accurate records and data. Along with this, the technician will be assigned an area of equipment ownership. The equipment owner is the technical expert of that specific equipment.

We are currently looking for entry-level warehouse technicians to join our
automated warehouse distribution and customer fulfillment center team in Jackson, GA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverages various systems to monitor and maintain an efficient AGV operation, with applicable SEFC standard operating procedures (SOP) meeting the daily business demands of the Site while meeting or exceeding the Site's target AGV Throughput goals.

  • Actively identifies, reports, and works to eliminate defects within AGV operations and connected systems.

  • Develops technical mastery within AGV, as well as the ability to effectively train others.

  • Demonstrate active participation in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) and Shift Change meetings, communicate observed inefficiencies and outages as a part of ongoing process improvement.

  • Owns an equipment, system, area, or team program ownership that is maintained and supports the immediate AGV area.

  • Is initiative-taking to cross train and flow to work across technology systems at the site.

  • Works with the site Operations teams to maintain cohesive, responsive, and flexible operation.

  • Understands, follows, and ensures compliance with Quality Assurance and Site Safety requirements.

  • Acts as a positive influence on the culture of the Organization by role modeling The Company's Principles, Values and Purpose.

  • Comply with all SEFC and applicable OSHA guidelines.

  • Comply with all corporate and local quality guidelines.

  • Daily equipment health check execution.

  • A Functional leader/DMS Owner (AMFL-CL/CIL/DH, PMFL, SFL, QFL, Training, Auditing, Admin, ERT)

  • Equipment/Area Ownership

  • CIL execution

  • Develop standards and documentation to maintain and improve the operation of the line (OPLs, SIMPTWWs, SOPs, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift, lower and carry objects up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Push & pull objects up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • The ability to work at heights & climb stairs/ladders/platforms, etc., on and around equipment up to 30+ feet high
  • Stand, sit, and /or walk for extended periods of time. Surface: Concrete, gravel, asphalt (uneven surfaces), and equipment.
  • The ability to use basic hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, etc.
  • Twist bend at the knees, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and reach in tight spaces on a frequent basis
  • The ability to meet the requirements of safe operation and personal safety, including hearing protection, fall protection (harness holds up to 300lbs), eye protection, and foot protection, and the ability to respond appropriately to various visual and audible alarms and signals for equipment startup, evacuation, fire, etc.
  • Operate a computer keyboard to input and access data, and phone as well as scanners and electronic interfaces.
  • Efficiently operate high speed-equipment
  • The ability to enter and work in enclosed areas.
  • The ability to work in extreme temperatures is both hot and cold, in warehouse conditions including wide variances in temperature, dust, and dirt.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Able to wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
  • Must be willing to work rotating shifts

Work Schedule:

Work schedule for P&G in Jackson, Ga is a 2-2-3 12.5 Hour Shift which may include some combination of day shift and night shift schedules.

Schedule options include:

  • Fixed Day Shift (7:00AM - 7:30PM)
  • Fixed Night Shift (7:00PM - 7:30AM
  • Rotating Day and Night Shift (rotating between day and night shift is every 2 weeks)
  • Shift changes will be communicated with advanced notice

Starting Pay:$22.60 /hour
