Job description

*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.
Develop, operate, maintain, and use public cloud systems in AWS, GCP, and Alibaba Cloud for the use of the product development teams. Develop service control policies to maintain restrict purchasing of exotic instances utilizing pandas, boto3, and Cost Explorer.
What You Will Do:
  • Develop cloud specific solutions to optimize efficiency, cost, and maturity utilizing boto3 and Google Workspace.
  • Implement tagging strategies and policies to allocate cloud costs to specific business units, projects, or teams.
  • Develop and maintain reporting pulling financial data from cloud stack to provide financial models to forecast spending based on current usage in AWS, using boto3 and Google Workspace.
  • Establish and enforce cloud governance policies that help control costs while ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
  • Facilitate infrastructure to support automation pipelines in the product development teams using Vagrant, Ansible and Amazon Elastic Container Service.

What You Will Bring:
  • Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber-Physical Systems or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber-Physical Systems or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
  • Must have one (1) year of experience with: OpenShift development; Ansible development, including Ansible Automation Platform; AWS development, including ECS, CloudWatch, and EventBridge; Linux, including RHEL; Jira, including Scrum and Agile development; data processing and visualization, including Numpy, Google Sheet; and Git.

The salary range for this position is $115,770 - $185,070/year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
