Position Summary:

The Associate Manufacturing Engineer, supports manufacturing operations by assisting engineers with process improvement, equipment troubleshooting, documentation, and production support activities. This is an entrylevel position focused on learning manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality requirements while contributing to safe, efficient, and repeatable production.

Essential Functions:

  • Follow the Company's policies and procedures

  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers with day to day production support. Help create, update, and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation, I.E. Bill of materials (BOM), Route, Set-Up sheets. Collect and analyze basic production and quality data (scrap, cycle time, uptime, etc.)

  • Support setup, troubleshooting, and minor adjustments of manufacturing equipment

  • Assist with tooling, fixtures, and gage implementation and maintenance

  • Support continuous improvement activities (5S, lean events, root cause analysis)

  • Assist with validation of new or revised manufacturing processes

  • Participate in problem solving activities related to quality, safety, and productivity

  • Communicate effectively with operators, engineers, quality, and maintenance teams

  • Support training of operators on new or updated processes

  • Assist Quality engineers in writing IQ, OQ & PQ protocols compliant with existing SOP's with assistance from more senior personnel

  • Follow all safety, quality, and environmental requirements

  • Performing all work in accordance with oral instructions in conformance with company standards including, safety, workmanship, and good housekeeping practices

  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.

  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • One of the following required: machining technology degree, mechanical engineering degree or a minimum of three years of hands-on experience as a department lead or set up role within the discipline of the hiring department.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes required

  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and specifications required

  • Understanding of the operations within the discipline of the hiring department required

  • Capability of utilizing inspection equipment to verify products produced within the discipline of the hiring department required Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, basic data entry) required

  • Willingness to learn manufacturing systems, equipment, and quality standards required

  • Possession of the ability to work under the guidance of any superior titles in the engineering organizational chart required

  • Being well organized and possesses the ability to multi-task required

  • Team player, open to new ideas and teamwork, self-motivated individual, willingness to increase personal knowledge and value required

  • Excellent communication skills required

  • Exposure to CNC machining, assembly, or automated manufacturing equipment required

  • Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, basic gages) required

  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing concepts preferred

  • Knowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills preferred
