CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY: Special Education Teacher (1099 Independent Contractor)

COMPENSATION
  • Competitive contract rates commensurate with experience, paid per agreed terms.
  • Engagement contingent on a background check clearing you to work in public school settings.

SCOPE OF SERVICES
  • Provide specially designed instruction to students with IEPs in assigned placements
  • Develop, implement, and update IEPs for an assigned caseload
  • Assess student performance, track progress, and use data to inform instruction
  • Deliver small-group instruction for academically at-risk students
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators on student progress
  • Support student transitions between grades and toward graduation
  • Facilitate or participate in ARD committee meetings
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation meeting district and state requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution
  • Valid Texas certification in Special Education and applicable content area
  • Prior experience in a special education classroom setting

PRACTICAL NOTES
  • Assignments follow the calendar and schedule of the assigned campus
  • Possible district-wide travel; physical demands include standing, lifting, and carrying materials
