Job description

The Lead Assembler role requires leading a production team in an assembly work cell, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery 

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Train and lead a production team in an assembly cell involving electronic and mechanical assembly, PCB assembly testing, and box build
  • Project Work: Execute special projects assigned by the Production Supervisor and Production Manager LinkedIn+1.
  • Quality & Safety: Enforce quality and safety regulations in line with company standards
  • Coverage: Fill in for absent or on-vacation employees
  • Problem Reporting: Notify management of equipment issues, machine downtime, or production problems 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or GED
  • Experience: Preferred 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment 
  • Skills:
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Basic computer skills (Microsoft OS: Excel, Word)
    • Positive attitude, detail-oriented, strong leadership qualities
    • Ability to work well with all levels of staff, from entry-level to executives 

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Lifting: Must be able to lift 50 lbs 
  • Posture: Must be able to stand for long periods 
  • Environment: Office and/or electromechanical laboratory with lubricants and electrical connections; may require working in varying temperatures 
  • Vision: Close, distance, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus 
  • Type: Individual contributor – no formal supervisory responsibilities LinkedIn+1.
