Packaging Associate

Location: Honolulu, HI 96819 Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours/week) Contract Duration: Approximately 12 weeks (2,160 total hours) Travel: None required

Job Summary: Our client, a leading fresh produce distribution company in Honolulu, HI, is seeking Packaging Associates to support daily warehouse packing operations. This is an entry-level, industrial labor position ideal for candidates with 0-3 years of relevant experience. No industrial equipment operation is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pack and repack products according to company specifications
  • Measure, weigh, and count products and materials
  • Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools
  • Clean containers, materials, supplies, and work areas using cleaning solutions and hand tools
  • Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met
  • Load products into package processing equipment
  • Mark and label containers, container tags, or products using marking tools
  • Obtain, move, and sort products, materials, containers, and orders using hand tools
  • Place and/or pour products or materials into containers using hand tools and equipment
  • Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
  • Remove completed or defective products or materials from processing area
  • Required Qualifications:

    • 0-3 years of relevant work experience
    • Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    • Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout an 8-hour shift
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow packing specifications
    • Basic math skills for measuring, weighing, and counting
    • Preferred Qualifications:

      • Prior warehouse, packaging, or production experience
      • Familiarity with hand tools used in packing and assembly
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
