Job description

Clean Harbors is looking for Chemical Handlers to join our safety conscious team!  

        Do you enjoy...  

        Learning and applying knowledge about science and chemistry? 

        Working directly with customers? 

        Staying active and on your feet? 

This position requires attendance with an in-person Clean Harbors Academy out of State. as part of your onboarding and training. Attendance is mandatory. Clean Harbors provides airfare, hotel accommodations, transportation to/from the Academy, breakfast and lunch, and a $38 nightly per diem. Academy training is paid at your normal rate. Candidates must be able to travel and attend the full 2 week Academy to be eligible for this position.

InSite Chemists perform a wide range of tasks, including: 

        Making waste pickups at labs as needed

        Packaging and labeling waste products and other materials

        Identifying unknown chemicals when they are encountered

        Performing inspections of staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance

        Collect, segregate, and properly package waste chemicals for efficient and compliant disposal

        Overall quality control ofwastematerials being stored and shipped

        Completing required manifests and tracking paperwork

        Utilizing CHOICE waste management software to efficiently and accurately manage waste programs.
