To thrive as an Entry Level Arborist, you need a basic understanding of tree biology, pruning techniques, and physical fitness, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with chainsaws, climbing equipment, and safety gear is essential, and certifications like ISA Certified Arborist or OSHA safety training can be advantageous. Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail are crucial soft skills in this field. These skills and qualifications ensure safe work practices, effective tree care, and successful collaboration on arboricultural projects.
