Automotive Service Technician /Mechanic/Apprentice/Career

Grand Haven, MI

ENTRY LEVEL

  • Wage range: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
  • Quick Service Operations, Oil Changes, Mount and Balance Tires
  • Tire Rotations, Wheel Balance, Light Bulbs, Filters
  • Graduate to 'Helper' Level when endorsed by Technician

MASTER TECHNICIAN HELPER LEVEL

  • Wage range: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
  • Must complete Fundamental GM Training and have Michigan State Trainee permit
  • Assigned to an 'A' Level Technician with the Ability to learn and perform Operations in all Skill Code Categories

B SKILL LEVEL “APPRENTICE”

  • Wage range $17.00 - $21.00 per flagged hour
  • Complete (4) Michigan State Certification Areas, Complete at least (2) ASE certifications,
  • Become a Certified GM Technician in (2) categories
  • Able to perform operations in (2) Skill Categories
  • Perform all factory Field Actions/Recalls

B SKILL LEVEL "JOURNEYMAN"

  • Wage range $21.00 - $23.00 per flagged hour
  • Complete all Michigan State Certification Areas
  • Complete at least (4) ASE certifications including Refrigerant Recycling Certificate
  • Able to perform all 'B' level Operations, plus the following Skill Categories:
  • Performance Diagnosis and repair, Diagnose and Replace Steering & Suspension, Perform Wheel Alignments, Electrical Accessory Diagnosis & Repair, Air Conditioning Component Diagnosis & Replacement
  • Fixed Right score equal to or above district average

A SKILL LEVEL “MASTER”

  • Wage range $24.00 - $27.00 Per flagged hour
  • Become a Mentor/Trainer and earn additional dollars per hour.
  • Have at least (6) ASE Certifications
  • Certification in (6) levels of GM Training for the related ASE Certification obtained
  • Fixed right score above district average
  • Able to perform all Diagnosis and Repairs excluding Transmission, Hybrids and Diesels
  • Maintain proficiency of 100+%
  • Fixed Right score equal to or above district average

A SKILL LEVEL “MASTER +”

  • Wage range $28.00 - $35.00 per flagged hour
  • Become a Mentor/Trainer and earn an additional dollars per hour.
  • ASE master Certified, GM Factory Master Certified and must be maintained
