We are currently seeking a full-time Appraisal Clerk at our Tomahawk office location. This is considered an entry-level position, although previous professional experience is helpful.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
This position resides in our Energy, Infrastructure, and Real Estate Division and will support daily operations and projects primarily in the Appraisal department along with possible roles within the Division. As an Administrative Assistant - Appraisal, you will support appraisal operations and contribute to projects involving utility corridors, public infrastructure, conservation easements, and more. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assisting appraisers and appraisal staff with real estate market research, comparable and subject property data analysis and entry, and narrative report writing.
  • Provide administrative, clerical, and project support to appraisers and appraisal team.
  • Manage and organize files, documents, and contracts.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings for appraisers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and appraisal information.
  • Contribute to overall Appraisal department communication efforts by reaching out to internal and external clients and outside resources to facilitate project efforts.
  • Responsible for compiling draft and final appraisal and other documents, facilitating quality control efforts and managing incoming and outgoing communications and product deliveries.
  • Responsible for new project set-up tasks and maintaining and updating department project tracking applications.
  • Other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT
At Steigerwaldt, we offer a Remote-Friendly Hybrid Work Model for our staff. The Appraisal Assistant position is considered a resident or office-based position with remote work possible, upon approval from the supervisor. The position is primarily office-based however daily travel, with limited overnight stays are possible.
COMPENSATION
Wage commensurate with experience.
POSTING DATE
April 28, 2026. Position will be filled within one to three months. Interviews will be scheduled throughout this time period. Anticipated start date, June 1, 2026. Please note that these positions may be filled sooner, as there is flexibility in the start date.
