Brief Job Description:
Performs complex Information Technology (IT) data analysis, creating data queries, validating retrieved data, and providing data analysis as needed. Serves as liaison between program-area, development, and other HHSC IT Social Services Applications staff to provide mentoring, consultation, and documentation assistance regarding data gathering and analysis within all IT Social Services Applications eligibility systems. (20%)
Provides assistance to developers, system analysts, or customers on system applications, software, and hardware and production support to users of TIERS and other SSA eligibility systems and applications. (20%)
Performs complex analysis to diagnose system problems and suggests a corrective action plan. (10%)
Provides quality-assurance-related consultation to, or oversight of, projects, assignments or special initiatives. (10%)

Initial Screening Criteria:
Preferred graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in IT/computer sciences. Minimum of three years of experience with the State of Texas Health and Human Services organization required, with focus on eligibility programs or systems information management. Preferred experience working professionally with a broad range of stakeholders. Preferred knowledge of State of Texas, Health and Human Services (HHS) eligibility programs. Experience working with Texas HHSC automated eligibility systems preferred. Relevant experience that exceeds the minimum requirement may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Information:
Applicants must be willing to work a regular Monday through Friday schedule, on site in the Austin office.

The posted salary range reflects the minimum and maximum for this position allowable by state law. Any employment offer is contingent upon available budgeted funds. The offered salary will be determined in accordance with budgetary limits and the requirements of HHSC Human Resources Manual Chapter 7.
