Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil or Environmental Engineering graduate with 0-3 years of experience who is interested in pursuing a professional engineering career in water resources and sustainable water/wastewater infrastructure. You will join a project team dedicated to helping communities and industries solve their most challenging infrastructure problems. Responsibilities

  • Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.
  • Work under the supervision of a project manager or PE-level team member.
  • Perform sub-professional engineering tasks such as fieldwork, inspections, engineering reports, permits, construction engineering, and simple design calculations.
  • Coordinate with contractors.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications.
  • Contact government officials for permits.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Ecological Engineering (EEE).
  • 0-3 years of Civil Engineering experience in Water/Wastewater, Transportation, Site Development, or Stormwater/Drainage.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.2, verified via transcripts.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, drainage, civil design, grading, and stormwater.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • A graduate degree is preferred.
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam (Engineering Intern status).
  • Experience of 1+ year in Water/Wastewater design engineering can be considered if the GPA is below 3.2, provided relevant experience is present.

Work Environment

The office environment is laid-back but can be deadline-intensive at times. There is a family feel and a strong emphasis on a team environment. Dress code is business casual. The standard working hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to start as early as 7 AM or as late as 9 AM. There are options to work Monday to Thursday for 9 hours and Friday for 4 hours, allowing for early departure at lunchtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.58 - $36.54/hr.
