Job description

  • POSITION PURPOSE
    • Consults operating room schedule to determine equipment needs for special procedures and prepares operating room accordingly. Maintains, calibrates, and troubleshoots anesthesia department equipment according to instructions and protocols of equipment manuals. Cleans and disinfects anesthesia equipment after use.
  • MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
    • Associate Degree in: Anesthesiology Technology, Surgical Technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
    • Entry Level
  • LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
    • Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
    • Previous Anesthesia Tech experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
    • Ability to read, write, speak, hear and comprehend the English language.
  • PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
    • Provides patient care via support to anesthesiologist and surgical team, including Basic Life Support.
    • Physical, technical, and cognitive ability to operate anesthesia and health care equipment.
    • Multifaceted communication under a variety of emotional situations.
    • Cleaning and stocking of anesthesia carts and machines.
    • Maintaining and preparing anesthesia-related equipment for use in surgical and procedural areas.
      Salary Range: $17.50 to $26.25/hr (based on experience)
