Job Summary

Job Description Summary
Visually examines and/or gauges glassware and packs in cartons or attends semi-automatic equipment to insure conformance to specification. Holds ware back or stops the line if not visually inspecting the ware. Packs acceptable ware in cartons and may have to install required internal packaging requirements. Responsible for unjamming and restarting all automatic inspection equipment. Also checks for partition damage from automatic case packer.

MAIN POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Places ware off or on lines as necessary. Un-jams equipment such as conveying lines, inspection equipment and case packers as necessary. Prepares paperwork such as production tally sheets. This entry level position also includes line monitoring, palletizer operations and reselect. Performs other work as assigned by the Supervisor and may have to work in other departments as needed.

    Work Schedule: Individuals will work a swing shift / rotating shift work involves working 7 consecutive days of an 8am-4pm shift followed by 3 days off, then working 7 consecutive days of a 12mid-8am shift followed by 2 days off and then working 7 consecutive days of a 4pm-12mid shift followed by two days off and then starting back on the 8-4 shift. This amounts to working 21 days with 7 days off in a 28-day cycle.
