Company:Aircraft Accessories International, LLCAircraft Accessories International (AAI), an FAA and EASA certificated aircraft component repair station, is seeking an experiencedManual Machinistto join our growing team. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys solving unique technical challenges, manufacturing one-off repair components, and working in an environment where no two jobs are exactly alike.Unlike production machining, this role focuses onspecialized aircraft component repairs, requiring critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to develop practical machining solutions while following approved repair procedures.Responsibilities
  • Operate manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and other conventional machine shop equipment.
  • Repair aircraft component parts to tight tolerances from engineering drawings, sketches, and repair specifications.
  • Interpret and execute written repair procedures and technical instructions.
  • Assist in developing machining methods and repair solutions for unique and non-routine component repairs.
  • Work closely with technicians, engineering personnel, and quality inspectors to ensure repairs meet all applicable requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, dimensions, materials used, and repair activities.
  • Utilize company maintenance tracking software to document work progress and maintain up-to-date repair notes.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.


Qualifications
  • Experience operating manual milling machines and lathes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to think outside the box and develop practical solutions for unique repair situations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and repair procedures.
  • Comfortable working independently while managing multiple projects.
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn and utilize maintenance tracking and documentation software.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Aircraft component repair experience.
  • Experience working in an FAA-regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
  • Fabrication, or fixture-building experience is a plus.
