Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and sustainment of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical products and test equipment or software in support of the U.S. Strategic Deterrence Systems (U.S. Air Force Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, U.S. Air Force & U.S. Navy Guidance Systems and other military programs).
  • Provide engineering support for products sent for repairs from a variety of military (U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and foreign) customers.
  • Review test data, direct repairs, develop process improvements, capture process changes, and solve problems brought about with new workloads and part obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with program management, other functional engineering groups, operations, and other functional counterparts.
  • Research and build knowledge of Boeing and engineering design principles in order to develop solutions to product, process, production, or simple technical in-service issues.
  • Assist with analyses, root cause analysis, and drafting dispositions for design non-conformances.
  • Assist system owner in preparation of technical communications.
  • Identify analyses fleet data, collect and evaluate data on customer findings for product or process improvement opportunities that may include recurrent product support issues.
  • Support activities to identify deviations that could impact design intent and safety.
  • Participate in Material Review Boards and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Assist with the design of interim structural repairs to restore damaged structure to original design strength capability.

This position is expected to be fully onsite in Heath, OH.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.
  • Related engineering experience through internships, co-ops, or academic projects.
  • If not already withing commuting distance from Heath, OH, willingness and ability to relocate at own expense.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering degree.
  • Electro-mechanical device troubleshooting and repairing.
  • MATLAB, Catia, AutoCAD experience.
