Job description

POSITION: Talent Acquisition Specialist, 12-month position 8 am-4 pm Monday-Friday
REPORTS TO: HR Manager
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for supporting all aspects of the recruitment and hiring cycle, ensuring Bridges PCS attracts, retains, and motivates a high-performing, diverse workforce. The person will thrive in a fast-paced, non-profit environment where recruitment and communication strategies must align with the school's mission and vision.
This person will be expected to develop strong relationships with colleges and universities and network with educational organizations and institutions. A demonstrated interest in education and experience with recruiting is required.
This position is eligible for a 1-day work-from-home option after 1 year of service.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Identify recruiting platforms and employ multiple strategies to build a strong talent pipeline of entry-level candidates through networking, social media, college and university recruiting systems, job fairs, and employee referrals.
  • Lead and collaborate with leadership to determine recruitment strategies tailored to each vacancy.
  • Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, serve as the primary administrator for the BambooHR Applicant Tracking System, preparing job postings and managing applications.
  • Handle the entire hiring cycle, including sourcing and lead generation, recruiting and attracting, attending recruitment events, screening and assessing, checking references, and providing final selections to the hiring team.
  • Assist with annual job description updates.
  • Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of all employment files.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resources, Business, related field, or experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in talent acquisition and managing a full recruitment cycle, including working with BambooHR ATS or a similar platform.
  • Strong oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills; excellent at sourcing, screening, and identifying competitive candidates for a diverse set of positions.
  • Ability to work with the highest degree of confidentiality - exercising discretion, judgment, and diplomacy.
  • Highly communicative, responsible, empathetic, and approachable.
  • Great at building relationships and following up with both internal and external stakeholders and candidates.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and processes simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and respond promptly to time-sensitive inquiries.
  • Have a track record of being a team player and community-minded.
  • Be committed to their own learning.
  • Have excellent time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Adhering to the 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. work day
  • Regularly attends work and adheres to all attendance policies.
  • Be on time for classes, duties, team meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Communicate about and plan for absences in advance with supervisor.
  • Respond to all emails within 24 hours or the next business day.
  • Other professional duties as assigned.

SALARY & BENEFITS
$60,000 - $65,000 / Per Year
Salary is based on educational level, certification(s), and years of experience.
