We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join our team at our corporate office in Irvine, CA. In this on-site position, you will be responsible for all the functions of the accounts payable department including direct supervision of accounts payable personnel.
Primary/essential duties and responsibilities
  • Abide by generally accepted accounting principles and internal procedures and controls to protect and preserve the Company's assets.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new accounts payable practices and procedures.
  • Ensure departmental timelines are met and prioritize duties as necessary.
  • Work with vendors and internal staff to improve systems.
  • Manage monthly close of accounts payable and ensure unprocessed invoices and expenses are properly accounted for.
  • Review and approve all coded invoices for accuracy.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
  • Process weekly check run within assigned weekly cash forecast
  • Manage the 1099 Yearly tax filings.
  • Prepare account analysis, as required
  • Assist in preparing accounts payable related financial reports for management.
  • Provide accounts payable related data to auditors.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain accounts payable staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

  • Ability to work fully on-site at our corporate office in Irvine, CA
  • Minimum two years of team management experience and staff supervision of 2 plus employees
  • Prior experience with financial accounting software applications.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Previous experience of high-volume invoices - 2000 + invoices
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills and customer service skills
  • Ability to achieve results. Commitment to quality.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and generate alternative solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with high sense of urgency
  • Experience with Vendor relations and relationship building
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management.
  • Ability to apply intermediate mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
  • English will be the primary language used; bilingual abilities useful but not required.
