Junior Accountant

Reports To: Accounting Manager
Department: Finance & Accounting
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Souderton, PA

Position Summary

The Junior Accountant is an entry-level accounting professional who supports the Finance & Accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records and completing essential day-to-day accounting activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to build foundational accounting experience while contributing to accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Financial Operations

  • Accounts Payable (AP): Review, code, and process vendor invoices; research and resolve billing discrepancies; and assist with weekly payment processing.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate customer invoices, post cash receipts, monitor aging reports, and support collection follow-up as needed.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Prepare and post standard journal entries, track prepaid expenses, and help maintain accurate subsidiary ledger records.

Reconciliations & Reporting

  • Month-End Close: Assist with monthly close activities, including preparing accruals, supporting tax-related filings, and maintaining schedules used for variance analysis and reporting.

Compliance & Administration

  • Audit Support: Organize financial documentation, receipts, and invoices to support internal, external, and tax audits.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Standards Knowledge: Foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
