Description
St. Matthew Catholic School in Forestville, CT, is seeking a part-time Honors Math teacher to teach 8th Grade Algebra, 7th Grade Pre-Algebra and 6th Grade Math. The effective start date is January 2, 2026 with the hours scheduled as 7:20am - 11:00am for four (4) days per week.
Requirements
Requirements & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Certification: Valid state teaching certification or licensure in Mathematics for middle school grades.
Experience: Previous experience teaching middle school mathematics is preferred. Student teaching experience will be considered.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics curriculum and pedagogy.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in educational technology and learning management systems (e.g., Google Classroom).
Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with middle school-aged students.
