Hazel Crest School District 152.5 is seeking a passionate and skilled 6th Grade Math & Science Teacher to join the team at Barack Obama Learning Academy. We are a diverse, student-centered district committed to high-quality instruction, strong relationships, and inclusive learning environments.

Position Summary

The 6th Grade Math & Science Teacher delivers engaging instruction, builds strong rapport with students, and collaborates with a two-teacher grade-level team to support academic growth. The teacher implements CHAMPS expectations, uses district curriculum with fidelity, and maintains consistent communication with families.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education
  • Valid Illinois PEL with Elementary Education (K-9) or appropriate middle-grade endorsement
  • Experience teaching Grades 5-8 or relevant coursework/training
  • Strong instructional, classroom management, and communication skills
