A successful candidate is one who functions well in a multi-disciplined team, properly applies engineering tools and processes, and is a self-motivated problem solver with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. This is an entry-level Mechanical Engineer position for an individual with educational experience and professional interest in the application of technical mechanical standards, principles, concepts, and techniques.
What You Will Do
  • Collaborate in a multi-discipline team setting to solve complex engineering problems
  • Create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for RF products designs
  • Develop prototype hardware designs and coordinating fabrication
  • Perform hands on integration and test support for prototype hardware
  • Hold design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience performing design and / or analysis throughout the product life cycle to include use of three dimensional (3D) Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
  • Experience with creation of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Master of Science (MS) in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
  • Experience performing design and / or analysis for the packaging of RF products (e.g. Circuit Card Assemblies, antennas, radomes, RF test equipment, harnesses and interconnects)
  • Experience with 3D CAD design (preferably Creo Parametric).
  • Experience in antenna and/or electronics packaging.
  • Experience with harness and interconnect design.
  • Experience creating engineering drawings.
  • Experience fabricating prototype designs.
  • Familiarity with the application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience working collaboratively in a multi-discipline team.
  • Experience performing tolerance analysis.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
