Summary of Position:

The Geological Data Entry Technician is responsible for accurately entering, verifying, and maintaining geological and assay data collected from field and core shed operations. This role ensures data integrity and consistency across geological databases and supports the Geology Team in compiling and organizing information critical for exploration, modeling, and reporting.

Accountability:

The Geological Data Entry Technician reports to the Pumpkin Hollow Chief Geologist on all aspects of geological data operations.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Input geological, geotechnical, and geochemical data from field logs, core samples, and laboratory results into designated databases (e.g., acQuire, Excel, Access).
  • Review and verify accuracy of source data prior to entry, ensuring completeness and consistency with standard data formats and company protocols.
  • Conduct data validation and assist in data quality control checks to identify and correct errors or discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized and uptodate digital and hard copy records, including drill logs, sample sheets, assay certificates, and core photos.
  • Support geologists with data compilation for reports, cross sections, maps, and modeling software.
  • Follow company data management standards, confidentiality practices, and document control procedures.
  • Knowledge/Education:

    The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, and general computer skills
  • Knowledge with office systems and relevant computer programs
