Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector Lead to ensure our cabinet products meet company standards and customer specifications throughout the assembly process. This role involves inspecting materials, monitoring production quality, and maintaining our reputation for excellence in cabinet manufacturing. This position will be full-time and will provide direct supervision and guidance to quality control staff while maintaining strict adherence to company quality protocols. This includes monitoring quality standards, implementing corrective measures, and preventing substandard products from advancing to the packaging stage.

JOB DUTIES:

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• 2-3 Direct reports. Training new employees on Quality Process how to identify defects.

Inspection and Testing:

• Perform in-process quality checks at various assembly line stages to identify defects early • Inspect finished cabinets for dimensional accuracy, finish quality, hardware installation, and overall craftsmanship • Test drawer slides, hinges, and other moving components for proper function and durability • Verify compliance with customer specifications, blueprints, and work orders • Roaming the Panel Processing Department for quality on parts

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed quality control records and inspection logs • Document non-conforming products and track corrective actions • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management • Communicate quality issues to production supervisors and engineering teams • Update quality control procedures and checklists as needed

Process Improvement:

• Identify trends in defects and recommend process improvements • Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective measures • Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality policies • Maintain clean and organized inspection areas • Support regulatory audits and customer quality assessments

  • JOB TYPE: Full Time
  • WAGE PER HOUR: $22 to $26 negotiable based on experience and knowledge
  • HOURS PER WEEK: 40+ Sometimes we run a B shift.
  • OVER TIME: 10-30 hours if there are open projects that need it
  • WORKWEEK: Full-time, day shift with occasional overtime as needed. Monday – Friday (Saturdays if needed) 7am – 3:30pm
  • PAYMENT DAYS: Bi-Weekly -Fridays

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Mandatory Experience in furniture or cabinet manufacturing -  2+ years experience in quality control or manufacturing environment • Knowledge of woodworking processes and cabinet construction • Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities • Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• • Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) • Certification in quality control or inspection methods • Experience with quality control software/databases

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds • Good vision and manual dexterity for detailed inspections • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise and dust

FLIGHT TRANSPORTATION

  • PAID FLIGHT TO BUSINESS LOCATION: Company can book flight or We will reimburse, all document for flight must be turned in for reimbursement
  • AIRPORT OF ARRIVAL: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
  • TRAVEL FOOD EXPENSE COVERED?: We will cover, a one time and only for the day of the travel from place of recruitment, a travel food expense of $30.00 a day must turn in receipts
  • GROCERY STIPEND: We will give a one time $100 dollar for food.

WORKPLACE TRANSPORTATION:

  • TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM WORKSITE: They will need to get a car to drive back and forth from work. Home will be less than 30 mins away.

JOB INCENTIVES

  • WORKER COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Yes 401K: Yes after 90 days, but the company does not contribute to the program at this time.
  • HEALTHCARE INSURANCE: Yes 60 days first of the month
  • PAID HOLIDAYS: New Years, Memorial, Independence, Labor, Thanksgiving and day after, Christmas

HOUSING OPTION

  • HOUSING TYPE: Employer will pay 100% for initial move into a hotel for ONLY one week. But, employee will need to find a rental at his/her cost.
