What is an entitlement?

An Entitlement job typically involves managing access rights, permissions, and licenses for users within a system or organization. Professionals in this role ensure that employees or customers have the appropriate levels of access to software, data, or services based on their roles. They often work in IT, HR, or customer support, coordinating with various departments to enforce security policies. Their responsibilities may include auditing entitlements, resolving access issues, and implementing governance frameworks to prevent unauthorized access.

What are the typical responsibilities of someone working in an entitlement position?

Professionals in Entitlement roles are responsible for managing the process of securing permits and approvals needed for property development or land use changes. This often involves preparing detailed documentation, collaborating with architects, engineers, legal teams, and government agencies, and conducting site visits or public meetings as needed. Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills help professionals coordinate effectively with stakeholders and navigate regulatory complexities. These abilities are crucial for ensuring successful project approvals and maintaining positive relationships with public agencies and private clients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.

Modern telecom and platform environments require seamless interoperability between complex entitlement servers, mobile devices, and third-party vendors. Technical friction, system downtime, and manual operational workflows create bottlenecks in SIM lifecycle management and device certification. This role bridges internal IT departments and external vendors to optimize platform services, drive high availability, and resolve critical architecture bottlenecks. By embedding intelligent automation and AI-driven solutions into platform operations, this position ensures scalable, reliable infrastructure across modern mobile network ecosystems.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives)
  • Manage and optimize high-availability entitlement server environments and system integrations to minimize downtime and elevate overall platform performance

  • Lead cross-functional technical alignment between internal engineering teams and external vendors to ensure seamless API integrations and rapid issue resolution

  • Implement end-to-end testing strategies, validation plans, and Proof of Concepts for new platform capabilities prior to production deployment

  • Deploy AI-driven automation tools—including anomaly detection, decision support systems, and predictive analytics—to streamline platform operations and workflow efficiency

  • Execute device and SIM certification protocols to ensure compliance and robust performance across mobile network standards

Skills, Experience and RequirementsCore Skills and Competencies (What You'll Bring)
  • Critical experience in platform integration, systems engineering, and managing entitlement server architecture (such as GSMA TS43, eSIM orchestration, or MDM protocols)

  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities across complex API frameworks, cloud platform architectures, and infrastructure automation tooling

  • AI application proficiency in leveraging machine learning concepts, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and predictive analytics to optimize technical workflows

  • Strong technical communication and cross-functional leadership skills necessary to interface effectively with external vendors, IT operations, and product engineering teams

  • Deep technical expertise in networking protocols, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code within production operational environments

Additional Qualifications
  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Terraform Associate

  • Prior technical experience operating within carrier or telecommunications environments

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and security considerations in mobile device testing and eSIM lifecycle management

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in Platform Integration, Systems Engineering, or a related technical role
  • Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 3 years of experience with:
    • Entitlement server protocols and eSIM orchestration

    • API integration, troubleshooting, and system observability
