They ensure all rigging structures meet safety standards and are properly secured. This role requires knowledge of engineering principles, heavy lifting techniques, and industry safety protocols.
What does an entertainment rigging do?
A typical day for an Entertainment Rigging professional involves setting up, inspecting, and maintaining rigging systems for lighting, scenery, and audio equipment at various venues. You will often work closely with lighting designers, production managers, and stagehands to execute precise setups and ensure all equipment meets safety requirements. Schedules can be dynamic, requiring flexibility for load-ins, rehearsals, and live performances, often under tight time constraints. The role may sometimes involve travel or working at height, so adaptability and a strong commitment to safety are essential.
