Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a Billing Strategy for Cloud Services
    • Define and execute a scalable billing operations strategy aligned with Dolby Cloud Services' growth objectives.
    • Balance long-term strategic planning with direct operational involvement to ensure billing processes, systems, and controls effectively support new subscription models, pricing structures, customer requirements, and global expansion.
  • Optimize Billing Systems, Automation, and Processes
    • Lead and actively participate in the enhancement of Zuora and integrated business systems.
    • Design, test, and implement process improvements, automation solutions, AI-driven workflows, and system integrations that improve operational efficiency, billing accuracy, scalability, and visibility across the order-to-cash lifecycle.
  • Revenue Operations Leadership
    • Partner with Finance, Legal, Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to develop scalable revenue operations policies and processes.
    • Personally support complex billing scenarios, contract interpretation, pricing model implementation, and operational execution to ensure accurate revenue recognition and efficient order-to-cash operations.
  • Drive Strategic Initiatives and Business Transformation
    • Lead strategic initiatives from concept through implementation, including requirements gathering, process design, testing, deployment, change management, and operational support.
    • Drive innovation through automation, AI-enabled solutions, system interoperability, and scalable business processes that support the growth of Dolby Cloud Services.
  • Operational Execution and Issue Resolution
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex billing, operational, and customer-impacting issues, driving timely resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvements that enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and operational effectiveness.
    • Lead cross-functional problem solving, data reconciliation, system troubleshooting, and process remediation efforts to ensure timely resolution while implementing long-term corrective actions and process improvements.
  • AI, Automation, and Systems Innovation
    • Evaluate, implement, and optimize AI-powered tools, intelligent automation, and agentic solutions that improve efficiency, decision-making, system interoperability, and operational scalability.
    • Partner with business and technical teams to modernize the billing ecosystem and enable data-driven operations.
  • Ensure Compliance and Risk Mitigation
    • Oversee SOX compliance and ensure billing and revenue processes adhere to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
    • Partner with Legal and Finance to mitigate financial risk, support audit activities, and address complex customer and revenue-related issues.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Build a high-performing billing operations team while serving as a hands-on leader and player-coach.
    • Lead by example through direct involvement in critical initiatives, operational escalations, system enhancements, AI transformation efforts, and process improvement activities.
Qualifications:
  • Strategic and Operational Leadership
    • 3+ years of experience in managing the day-to-day operations of Zuora billing system, revenue operations, and order-to-cash functions, including at least 1 year in a leadership role within a SaaS, subscription-based, or cloud services environment.
  • Billing and Revenue Operations Expertise
    • Deep expertise in subscription and recurring revenue business models, including usage-based, consumption-based, tiered, and hybrid pricing structures.
  • Billing Systems and Process Optimization
    • Experience with enterprise billing and revenue platforms such as Zuora, including system configuration, process design, automation, troubleshooting, and operational optimization.
  • SaaS and Cloud Business Knowledge
    • Strong understanding of SaaS and cloud services business models, revenue recognition principles, customer lifecycle management, and the operational complexities associated with global subscription businesses.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex billing, usage, revenue, and operational data to identify root causes, resolve issues, improve business performance, and support strategic decision-making.
  • AI, Automation, and Systems Innovation
    • Experience identifying, implementing, or leveraging AI-enabled solutions, intelligent automation, workflow technologies, or agentic systems to improve operational efficiency, decision-making scalability, and customer outcomes.

The Atlanta Area base salary range for this full-time position is $109,700 - 150,600 which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
