Position Overview: 

The Senior Vice President of Field Operations Strategy & Operational Excellence is responsible for defining the enterprise operating strategy, governance, standards, and performance management framework for Mediacom's field operations. While Area Directors and VPs retain ownership of day-to-day execution, this executive ensures every market consistently delivers safe, reliable, efficient, and customer-focused operations.

This leader will establish the enterprise operating system that enables field excellence by driving standardization, operational discipline, service assurance, capital governance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Success will be measured by improvements in network reliability, service quality, customer experience, operational efficiency, capital effectiveness, and execution consistency across the enterprise.

Position Responsibilities:

Field Operations Strategy

                    Define the long-term operating strategy for Mediacom's field organization, ensuring enterprise consistency while empowering Regional General Managers to execute locally.

                    Establish enterprise standards, operating procedures, governance, and best practices that improve safety, quality, productivity, customer experience, and financial performance.

                    Identify and implement leading operational practices, emerging technologies, and innovative operating models that improve field performance and scalability.

Service Delivery & Network Reliability

  • Establish enterprise performance standards for installation quality, service restoration, network reliability, preventative maintenance, dispatch operations, and customer service delivery.
  • Develop operational scorecards and governance routines that provide visibility into field performance, identify operational gaps, and drive accountability across every market.
  • Partner with Regional General Managers through structured operational reviews, benchmarking, and performance improvement plans that accelerate operational excellence.
  • Standardize operational practices that improve network availability, reduce customer-impacting events, improve first-time quality, and accelerate restoration performance

Construction & Capital Delivery

  • Establish enterprise governance for construction execution, contractor management, capital delivery, and infrastructure project performance.
  • Develop standards that improve construction quality, project execution, forecasting accuracy, capital efficiency, and return on invested capital.
  • Partner with Engineering, Finance, and Regional General Managers to ensure construction projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and consistently across the enterprise.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead enterprise initiatives that simplify operations, eliminate waste, improve technician productivity, and create scalable operating practices.
  • Implement best-in-class performance management disciplines, operational benchmarking, root-cause analysis, Lean methodologies, and continuous improvement programs across all field organizations.
  • Champion automation, AI, workforce optimization, and digital capabilities that improve productivity, dispatch efficiency, service quality, and operational decision-making.
  • Identify and replicate best practices across markets while ensuring consistent execution and accountability throughout the enterprise.

Enterprise Program Management Office (PMO)

  • Lead the Enterprise PMO, ensuring strategic initiatives are effectively prioritized, governed, and executed with measurable business outcomes.
  • Establish project governance, portfolio management, executive reporting, resource planning, and risk management disciplines that improve enterprise execution.
  • Drive cross-functional accountability for transformational initiatives while ensuring strategic priorities remain aligned with company objectives.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

                    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.

                    15+ years of progressive leadership experience in broadband, telecommunications, cable, wireless, or large-scale field operations.

                    Proven success leading enterprise operational transformation, field operations strategy, or technical operations organizations.

                    Deep understanding of network operations, service delivery, construction, capital management, operational excellence, and performance governance.

                    Demonstrated ability to influence leaders within a matrixed organization while driving enterprise-wide accountability and consistency.

                    Exceptional executive communication, organizational leadership, and change-management skills.

  • Increase technician productivity and operational efficiency through process simplification, automation, and adoption of best practices.
  • Strengthen construction governance and capital delivery, improving project quality, execution, and return on investment.
  • Build a world-class Enterprise PMO that consistently delivers strategic initiatives on time, within scope, and with measurable business outcomes.
  • Create a culture of accountability where operational performance is transparent, benchmarked, and continuously improving while preserving Regional General Manager ownership of execution and results.
