Role & responsibilities

Define and drive the technical architecture, solution design, and technology roadmap for enterprise applications and platforms. Design scalable, secure, highly available, and high-performance systems aligned with business requirements. Translate functional and non-functional requirements into technical architecture and solution designs. Lead architecture decisions across application, cloud, database, integration, security, and infrastructure layers. Design and implement microservices, distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native solutions. Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, platforms, and architectural patterns. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, Security, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions. Conduct technical reviews, architecture reviews, and design walkthroughs and ensure adherence to engineering standards. Identify and address scalability, performance, reliability, security, and technical debt challenges. Define integration strategies and oversee integration with internal and third-party systems. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Software Engineers, Senior Developers, and Technical Leads. Drive cloud adoption, modernization, migration, and application transformation initiatives where applicable. Establish best practices for coding, design patterns, API development, CI/CD, observability, security, and DevOps. Troubleshoot complex production and architectural issues and provide long-term technical solutions. Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical specifications, standards, and documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

5 to 10 years of experience in Software Engineering, Technical Architecture, Solution Architecture, or a related technology role. Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale, distributed, scalable, and highly available applications. Strong hands-on expertise in one or more programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js. Strong knowledge of Microservices, REST APIs, Distributed Systems, Design Patterns, Event-Driven Architecture, and System Design. Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: "AWS", "Microsoft Azure", or "Google Cloud Platform (GCP)". Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps, Git, Jenkins, and Infrastructure as Code. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB. Knowledge of messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of cloud security, application security, scalability, performance optimization, high availability, and disaster recovery. Experience conducting architecture/design reviews and making technology decisions based on business and technical requirements. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills. Ability to mentor engineering teams and influence technical decisions across multiple teams.

Bachelor's degree

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline. B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech or equivalent qualification preferred.

Certifications

Certifications such as "AWS Solutions Architect", "Azure Solutions Architect", "GCP Professional Cloud Architect", TOGAF, or Kubernetes are an added advantage.
