Job Description: EHR Enterprise Release Manager

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION & PURPOSE: Summary of the position's purpose and role in the Corporation, essential job functions and resulting efficiencies

The primary goal of Release Management is to protect and manage the movement of releases through our build, test and production environments involving one or more applications supported by the Enterprise Hospital Application team. The successful candidate will have a broad working command of IT technology, software development lifecycle methodology and extensive experience with release and change processes. Have strong leadership communication skills and the ability to lead meetings and discussions related to release and change management and employ advanced knowledge as a Release Manager.

The Release Manager, reporting to the Director of Change and Release Management, is responsible for the development and ongoing management of our Release and Change Management processes at an enterprise level. This is accomplished by leveraging ITIL standards and best practices in partnership with infrastructure, development, testing and production support organizations. Additionally, this position will be responsible for working with other teams including: corporate leadership, support vendors, other IS teams, and hospital staff. The Release Manager also serves as the primary escalation point for Release Milestones at risk.

The Release Manager will work to advance and improve the Change and Release Management internal processes as well as vendors and suppliers
