THE ROLE: 

The Diagnostics Program Manager drives the successful execution of diagnostics, debug, validation, and failure analysis programs across AMD product engineering organizations. This role requires a strong technical foundation in silicon and/or software development, combined with the ability to lead multiple complex programs simultaneously, solve challenging technical problems, manage risks and dependencies, leverage AI-driven insights, and use data and KPIs to drive execution, quality, and business outcomes.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate is a technically driven leader with experience in silicon development, verification, validation, diagnostics, software engineering, or system-level debugging. You thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy diving into complex technical challenges, and can influence cross-functional teams to deliver results. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple programs across diverse engineering domains, a data-driven approach to measuring performance through KPIs, and the ability to leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to improve engineering efficiency and program execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Drive execution of multiple diagnostics, validation, debug, and engineering programs, ensuring delivery against commitments, schedules, and quality objectives.
  • Partner with silicon, software, platform, and product engineering teams to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues and risks.
  • Translate technical requirements, product roadmaps, and engineering objectives into actionable program plans with clear milestones and deliverables.
  • Establish, maintain, and analyze KPIs, dashboards, and program metrics to measure progress, identify trends, and support data-driven decision making.
  • Leverage AI and advanced analytics tools to improve planning, reporting, issue identification, and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate program status, technical risks, mitigation strategies, and key decisions to engineering leadership, customers, and executive stakeholders.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience in semiconductor product development, silicon validation, verification, diagnostics, product engineering, failure analysis, or related technical disciplines.
  • Proficiency in software development, scripting, automation, debugging, or system-level analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional technical programs spanning multiple engineering organizations.
  • Experience driving root cause investigations and resolution of hardware, software, or system-level issues.
  • Strong understanding of program management methodologies, metrics, and execution frameworks.
  • Experience working with global engineering teams and customer-facing stakeholders.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
