Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Per Diem Anesthesiology Physician, you will join our collaborative team at Virginia Mason Medical Center (VMMC) in downtown Seattle. Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families.


To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Anesthesiologist. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.

  • Surgical specialties include OB, Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Trauma, ENT as well as Gastroenterology,
  • Electrophysiology, Interventional Cardiology, and NeuroInterventional Radiology.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care
  • Stay current with research and best practices in Anesthesiology to provide evidence-based care

Job Requirements

Required

  • Completed ACGME Accredited Anesthesiology Residency
  • Board Certified Anesthesiology (ABA)
  • 2+ years of experience following training
  • State of Washington Medical License in good standing. No history of license actions or disciplinary matters.
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority
  • Eligible for privileges at Virginia Mason Medical Center
