Job description

Temporary Assignment Notice This position is a temporary placement with an anticipated duration of 3โ€“6 months. The assignment length is tentative and may be adjusted based on departmental needs.

Position Summary

Support the Outpatient Care Center, Centralized Department, and patient by providing a variety of services including: Registration Scheduling Admitting Database management Information processing Patient/department support Materials/inventory management Education/development Unitโ€specific tasks Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of formal business/medical training preferred. Completion of BA training program required. Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification preferred.

Experience

At least 3 to 6 months experience as a Business Assistant or equivalent experience. Computer Experience Knowledge of a Windows environment. Previous customer service experience required. Medical office experience required.

Skills

Effective communication, writing, and proper spelling and grammar. Effective interpersonal skills to work with coโ€workers and other staff members. Effective critical thinking skills, including analytical, problemโ€solving, decisionโ€making, prioritizing, and time management. Ability to pay attention to details, handle task switching without loss of efficiency or composure. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Typing/keyboarding 30wpm minimum.
