English Language Arts Teacher Job Description: The High School English Language Arts Teacher is responsible for creating an engaging and academically rigorous learning environment that develops students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills. The teacher delivers standards-based instruction through diverse literature, meaningful writing experiences, and collaborative discussions that prepare students for college, careers, and lifelong learning. Through high expectations, culturally responsive teaching practices, and strong relationships, the teacher fosters effective communication, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for language and literature.
