Job Description 6th Grade English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher Location: Greater Wayne County / Metro Detroit Area (Redford Area), MI Position Type: Full-Time About Us: A Retention-First Educational Partner At e&e Educational Partners, we take a different approach to school staffing. We are currently seeking a passionate, dynamic 6th Grade ELA Teacher for a partner school community in the Redford area. Key Responsibilities Instructional Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned English Language Arts instruction, focusing on reading comprehension, textual analysis, writing mechanics, and vocabulary development for 6th-grade students. Differentiated Instruction: Adapt core curriculum to support diverse learning styles, including general education students, English Language Learners (ELL), and students receiving special education accommodations.

Assessment & Progress Tracking: Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student growth, inform instructional strategies, and communicate progress effectively with administrators and parents. Classroom Management: Maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, active participation, and a culture of literacy. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with grade-level teams, Special Education teachers, and reading interventionists to ensure aligned academic support and successful middle school transition.

Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field from an accredited institution. Licensure: Active Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate elementary or middle school endorsements (e.g., Elementary K-8 (ZG), Middle School English 6-8 (BA), or Language Arts (BX)). Clearance: Ability to pass Michigan Department of Education (MDE) background checks and Livescan fingerprinting

Experience: Prior middle school or upper elementary teaching experience preferred; strong familiarity with Michigan Academic Standards for ELA and effective literacy strategies.
