Primary Purpose:
Assists with the development and administration of strength and conditioning programs of Nova Southeastern University Athletes.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Enforces Strength and Conditioning Policies. Enforces daily responsibilities of graduate assistant and student assistant. Compliance of weight room rules including emergency procedures.
2. Compliance of Strength and Conditioning principles. Permits only approved exercise to be done in the weight room. Ensures proper exercise technique, proper exercise overload and proper exercise progressions.
3. Program development and administration.
4. Assists in developing strength and conditioning programs:
- Winter conditioning
- Summer Conditioning
- In-season
- Red-shirt programs
- Incoming freshman programs
- Take home summer conditioning manuals
- Keep the athlete workout files updated
5. Testing and Evaluation
- Responsible for setting up and testing
- Assist in maintaining data base on computer
- Athlete files
- Testing records on individual athletes progress
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge:
1. English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language.
2. NCAA Rules and Regulations - Strong working knowledge and understanding of all NCAA rules and regulations regarding compliance issues.
3. Sport Experience - Extensive knowledge of individual and team skills with the ability to teach these skills.

4. Travel - Must be able to travel on a daily and/or overnight basis.
5. May be required to work nights or weekends.
6. May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
7. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils, and computer keyboards.
Required Certifications/Licensures: 1. Current First-Aid/CPR/AED Card.
2. Must be certified by NSCA (CSCS) or CSCCA (SCCC).
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Major (if required:
Required Experience: Two (2) years experience working within collegiate athletics.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Masters Degree
2. Experience with Olympic lifting, movement screening, mobility, and recovery.
3. Certified by ISSN (CISSN).
